Getting Your Disabled Instagram Account Back

(Updated 9/8/24)

Below are some options/suggestions for getting a disabled Instagram account back for spicy profiles/creators. None of these are guaranteed to work, but they may be helpful!

  1. Get Meta verified and chat with them live

If you aren’t already, apply to get Meta verified on a separate account (not the disabled one obviously.) Once approved, you’ll almost instantly be able to chat with a real person. You can tell them the account handle that was disabled. They will likely pass this on to a specialized team and pause the chat until they hear back, be sure to jot down the case number they give you at the beginning.

2. Fill out a form, start email dialogue, and use a script

It can be very difficult to get in touch with a person at Meta/IG via E-mail, so this method is a bit of a hack to get initial email access with someone. It has been suggested to fill out this form daily and reply to the auto email daily until your issue is resolved.

1) Pull up a form to contact IG by clicking here

2) Select Data Access > I have an Instagram account but I can't access my data

3) Then input your information and press send

4) You will get an automated email back with resources, you can reply to that email. Say something like the following but adjust based on your issue:

I am the host and founder of a popular podcast called Seggs Talk Radio, where we focus on educating about modern relationships, dating, and exploration.

Account Details:

  • Instagram handle: @seggstalkradiopodcast

  • Associated email: emailexample1@gmail.com

  • Unassociated email: emailexample2@gmail.com

  • Associated phone number: 555-555-5555

Unfortunately, my account was suspended on _________, I immediately appealed, but the account was permanently disabled just minutes later, which led me to believe that a real person might not have reviewed the appeal and that it was a fully automated process.

This Instagram account is not just a platform for me; it's my entire world and business. I have brand partnerships and a community of over 147k passionate followers who rely on the content I provide.

Yesterday, I also had my personal account @itsthearose verified so that I could communicate with someone, and I was informed that a specialized team is reviewing the disabled account. However, I’m unclear on the timeline and the potential outcome.

If possible, I would deeply appreciate being connected with someone in the relevant department who can review my situation and help restore my account. I am more than happy to verify my identity or provide any additional information needed.

Thank you so much for your time and assistance.

3. Pay someone to help you get your account back

Many people claim to be able to help you get your Instagram account back. Be careful here, however, tell them you can pay after you regain account access, or pay a small deposit until the account access is regained. Prices range from $500-$2,000 for this. Oftentimes people in the sex/kink space will know something they feel they can trust, so try to get those connections using IG stories to ask for help. I was surprised to find I had 10+ people message me saying they could introduce me to someone who could help me get my account back for a fee.

FAQs

1. What is the difference between a suspended and disabled Instagram account?

A suspended Instagram account is usually temporarily restricted due to a violation of Instagram’s community guidelines, but it's still possible to regain access after a suspension period or by appealing. A disabled account, on the other hand, means Instagram has permanently deactivated it, and recovering it requires more effort, often involving appeals and contacting Instagram support. A suspended account is more easily recoverable, while a disabled one needs more persistent action.

3. Can I recover my Instagram account if I violated the community guidelines?

Recovering an account after violating Instagram’s community guidelines depends on the severity and frequency of the violations. If it’s a first-time offense or a minor violation, you may be able to appeal the decision and get your account reinstated. However, repeated or serious violations, such as hate speech, harassment, or explicit content, may result in permanent account deletion with little chance of recovery. Always ensure you thoroughly read the guidelines and make a strong case during your appeal if you believe the violation was a misunderstanding or accidental.

2. Is it safe to pay someone to help me recover my Instagram account?

Hiring someone to help recover your account is an option, but it's crucial to be careful. Scammers often target people in desperate situations. Only pay a small deposit or promise to pay after the account is restored to minimize your risk. It's a good idea to find someone trusted in your niche, especially if you're in the sex/kink space, by asking for recommendations from people who've successfully regained their accounts. We have heard that sometimes scammers also have the ability to shut down your account after getting it back, keeping you in a cycle of paying them money to have access to your account.

4. How many times can I reach about about a disabled Instagram account?

There is no official limit to how many times you can appeal a disabled Instagram account. You can submit multiple appeals if you feel your case hasn’t been reviewed properly, but spamming appeals multiple times a day isn’t recommended as it may slow down the process. Instead, try submitting one appeal per day, or a few times a week, and ensure each submission is thorough and provides all necessary details. Persistence is key, but it's also important to provide new or better information with each appeal if possible.
